Thomas Friedman adds his $0.02 on online edu

Thomas Friedman writes in the New York Times today about the online college revolution that is quickly gaining steam (although he’s little late to the party). The introduction of his article focuses on Coursera, an online education website featuring classes from America’s top universities (Stanford, U of Michigan, Princeton, UC Berkeley).

I started CS 101 by Nick Parlante of Stanford last week and my learning experience has been great. I believe that Coursera has built a model that closely replicates the classroom experience, and allows one to easily work through the course in his/her free time. For anyone that hasn’t checked out Coursera, I highly suggest trying it out and understanding the strength of this learning platform.
